Barclays DIP
The Submissions Brain form can be used to create a Barclays DIP and send it to Barclays to create a case in their systems.
After submission to Barclays completing the DIP, getting a lending decision and progressing to FMA are all done on Barclays systems.
The form supports both Residential and Buy To Let applications, for up to two applicants and new purchase, remortgage, and equity release cases.
The submission of the form creates a new case in Barclays systems, completion, and submission of the case to get a decision will all take place on Barclays systems which can be accessed via https://intermediaries.uk.barclays/.
For any queries, please contact Barclays; for details of the most appropriate contact method, please visit https://intermediaries.uk.barclays/home/contact-us/.
Advisers must be registered with Barclays prior to using Submissions Brain forms, you can register via https://intermediaries.uk.barclays/.
If you have any queries about your registration, please contact Barclays via https://intermediaries.uk.barclays/home/contact-us/.
The Barclays DIP is accessed and completed in the same way as other Submissions Brain forms, whether this is into Submissions Brain from Sourcing Brain or directly into Submissions Brain using a browser, or from the lender list within The Key. Once an adviser has completed a Barclays DIP form, they will be able to send the form to Barclays using the Send button at the bottom of the form.
Barclays Intermediary Account
The adviser must enter their Barclays Intermediary Account Number, name, telephone number and FCA number when completing the form, and these details will be used to validate the adviser when the form is submitted to Barclays.
An administrator can submit cases on behalf of an advisor. After answering ‘Yes’ to the ‘Are you submitting on behalf of..’ question they will have to enter the Barclays Intermediary Account Number of the advisor they are working on behalf of.
Submitting the DIP to Barclays
Once all of the mandatory questions have been answered in the form the action list on the left-hand side of the form will be empty and clicking the validate button will confirm the form is complete.
The send form button is now available and when clicked will confirm the form is complete and give the option to submit the form to Barclays.
When ‘Yes’ is clicked a pop-up will confirm the form is to be submitted.
When ‘OK’ is clicked the form is submitted to Barclays and a new tab is opened with the sign-on page for Barclays.
On returning to the Submissions Brain home page the case status will be updated to show the Barclays case reference, the status will be updated to ‘Sent’ and the description will be ‘Data Submitted.’
The ‘613’ case number returned can be used to find and access the case in Barclays BUI or MAX systems.
Once the case has been successfully transmitted to Barclays, completion of the DIP to get a lending decision and progression to FMA will all take place on Barclay’s systems.
Accessing the case in Barclays HUB
From the HUB home page click on 'Submit an Application' Located in either 'My Cases' or 'Tools'.
A pop-up window will then display to confirm if the case is Residential or Buy-to-Let.
And if Residential is clicked a drop-down list will reveal to confirm the type of residential case.
Note: Further Advance and Transfer of Equity cases cannot be submitted via Submissions Brain.
After selecting the Residential case type you will see this landing screen and the case will be in the case list showing the ‘613’ Case Number returned to Submissions Brain and the customer’s surname.
To access the case, click on the Case Number on the left-hand side.
After selecting a Buy-to-Let case you will see this landing screen and the case will be in the case list showing the ‘613’ Case Number returned to Submissions Brain and the customer’s surname.
To access the case, click on the folder Icon with the up-facing arrow in the right-hand 'Actions' column.
For users of Barclays BUI system (Residential cases) there is one workaround to be aware of.
When the applicant is a self-employed company director the question ‘What percentage of the shares in this business do you own’ is not revealed.
The solution is to change the answer from ‘Are you’ to ‘Sole Trader’ and then change it back to ‘Limited Company Director’ and the shareholding question will now be revealed.
If the case is accessed using the Barclays MAX system (Buy-to-Let) the question will already be revealed.
