In this guide:
Start Tab > Existing Mortgage Details > Current Lender field now mandatory
As part of our ongoing enhancements to our ESIS/KFI data reports we need to include a field that allows our MI to capture the volume of ESIS productions based on a remortgage with the current lender included.
Our MI will be able to provide stats to lenders/providers on the importance of adding retention products onto the system. This will also improve the user journey as they will be able to ensure that any retention products for the current lender is included within the results, identifying if staying with the current lender is the best option.
In order to achieve this we have made the Current Lender field mandatory for the following scenarios:
Remortgage
Remo including Second Charge
Second Charge
BTL Remo
Within the Current Lender option box, the first option now displays a <Not known/Other> option. This selection can be used if the adviser does not know the current lender, or the lender has since left the market.
Underneath the Current Lender box, there is also a check box for No Existing Mortgage.
Bug Fix > Browse function > Change Filters > Rate Control (Custom) > Apply > Change Filters and From and To greyed out
A bug was found with the From/To options within the Rate Control period when applying them in Browse mode. Having applied them, browsed and returning to the filters, the From/To were greyed out and not allowing any changes to be made to them. This has now been fixed.
Bug Fix > Browse > Illustration Produced > Incorrect "Order by" text under scheme list table in Product Selection Report
When producing an illustration from Browse mode, it was reported that the text displayed underneath the scheme list tables was displaying incorrectly. This has now been corrected.
Bug Fix > Recall Client > Source > Browse > Produce Illustration and clients name not remembered
A bug was found when taking an existing client into Browse mode. When an illustration was produced, the client’s name was not being pulled through. This has now been fixed.
Amendments made on the display of the Mortgage Registration Fee
A mortgage registration fee is a fee that is paid during the conveyancing process and is not payable to the lender. FCA guidelines states that the ESIS document should illustrate that there will be a fee payable to register the mortgage, however as values differ depending on location, no totals are required to be displayed. This fee is only applicable when remortgaging.
We have removed the fee value from our ESIS document and replaced it with a sentence, which aligns to the FCA guidelines, as follows: ‘You will need to pay a fee to register the mortgage. You should ask your conveyancer for details on all fees payable before the mortgage starts’.
Bug Fix > Val Fees, for properties over 1 million, showing as 0.00 instead of REFER
For properties priced over £1 million with a valuation fee of refer, the text was being displayed in a numerical value rather than the word REFER. This has been amended to ensure that advisers are aware they need to check with the individual lender for the specific valuation fee amount.
